When looking for a stand for a big TV like a 46 inch model, you may want to look at stands that are at least as wide as your television. The idea is to avoid the top-heavy look – having your TV extend over the edges of the stand. If, however that is the very look you want, then almost any stand will do, as long as it can accomodate your set’s pedestal.
