Dog litter box

There are three main types of dog litter boxes. Some use absorbent pads, others a grate, and others an artificial grass pad over a grate. The pads are handy in that once soiled, you simply throw the pad out and replace it with a fresh one. The grass and grate kinds have to be drained and cleaned, but you do not need to buy replacement pads. The choice is up to you – or should I say your dog – since pets can be pretty finicky about where they go to the bathroom.

Ferret cage

As pet owners, for the most part we want only the best for our furry friends, which is why, when it comes to buying a cage for the little rascals, there’s practically no limit on size, relatively speaking. From the standard “one room” floor model to cages that are like ferret mansions with five levels, one can find it difficult to make a choice. Just make sure your ferret has lots of room to climb and move around freely. With that in mind, they should be happy campers.

Dress for dogs

I can understand the fun of dressing up a dog for a Halloween night or some other fashionable one-time event, but I wonder sometimes about those who seem to want to dress up their dogs every day of the week. And while I admit that there are times when a small dog looks rather cute in a rhinestone studded dress, I can’t help but feel for the dog as they are paraded outdoors for all to see in their get-up. It reminds me of when I was a child and had no say in what my parents dressed me up in. ‘Nuff said!

Pet drinking fountains

Some pets seem to prefer drinking water from the tap rather than from their own bowl. Perhaps it’s something about the movement of the water or the sound of it flowing. A pet drinking fountain provides both these properties, and may encourage your pet to drink. On the other hand, what may appeal to the animal is the fact that water from a running tap is nice and cold. This is something that cannot be provided by drinking fountains.

Covered cat litter box

If having a cat feels like a lot of work sometimes, especially when it comes to cleaning the litter box area, take your workload down a bit by buying a covered cat litter box for your cat. Big enough for your cat to walk into and do his or her business comfortably, a covered litter box helps to keep the litter in and not all over your floor. A great way to recoup some of the time you may lose cleaning up after your cat.
