Entryway wood storage bench

An entryway storage bench gives you a place to sit and take off or put on your shoes and boots. Some come with storage baskets or drawers, which is great for keeping things tidy. At least in theory. In my experience, kids tend to leave hats, coats, and bags on the seat, making it not only messy but impossible to sit on. So if your family is like mine, you may want to set some rules about keeping the storage bench free of unnecessary items.

Storage benches can be somewhat elaborate, incorporating not only drawers, but coat hooks and shelves and mirrors as well.
