If your child got the short end of the straw when it came time to choose between the big room and the small room, there’s still a way to optimize your child’s room in a cool way. A loft bed is a great way to conserve space, as the structure has a bed on top with storage shelves along the side. There’s also a big space underneath the bed to fit in a good size desk. A great way to make do with what little space you have.

Some of these beds come with the desk as part of the base, and with other models, the desk is a separate piece. Aside from the space-saving aspect of loft beds, there is the appeal to the child. Kids seem to love bunk beds and loft beds. They love the idea of having to climb up to their bed, and the area that is created under it becomes their own private space. It can be a play area, or a good studying spot. Who knows maybe this type of bed could encourage them to study more.
