A percolator is a basic kitchen tool whose design hasn’t changed much over the years, simply because there is no point in changing something that works well. Sometimes the old tools are the best, and a food mill is a perfect example of this. It’s easy to use and clean, and it’s the best for making soups, purees, sauces and baby food. Scratching your pots and pans can be a problem with metal spatulas. Silicone models are gentle on non-stick surfaces and they look great too. They come in many attractive colors, so feel free to hang them on a wall to show them off and add accents of color to your kitchen decor.
