When you own a quilted cotton bedspread, you pretty much own it for life, that is, if you take care of it. Like any fabric, your quilt will need to be cleaned regularly. But be careful, use only warm water and never use bleach on your quilt. Also use a color-free detergent that is non-scented and liquid based. Once your wash cycle is complete, wash your quilt again, but this time without using any cleaning products. This way, you get all the detergents washed out of your quilt, keeping it free of any detergents sticking to the quilt.
