If all you need from a TV stand is a spot for your TV to go on, and perhaps a shelf for a DVD player, then a small stand is in order. No need to waste space if you don’t have several components and lots of DVDs to store. Even though small stands can accommodate fairly large TV’s, you may find that a huge tv looks rather odd sitting on top of a small stand, so take that into consideration before you buy.
