For the well dressed man, there are a few clothing items that should belong in every guy’s wardrobe. A casual but dressy sports coat, a fine dinner jacket, a stylish, yet subdued suit for formal affairs, and a black leather blazer. A leather jacket can be worn with practically anything and will not only look great in a casual setting, but will also be quite acceptable in a formal situation as well, providing of course that it’s not a black tie event.

Whether it be for clothing or for furniture, the word leather is sometimes used quite loosely.
Unless you work in a business that requires you to wear a suit and tie all day, you might like the liberating feeling of not having to deal with matching the color of your tie to your socks and whatever else is needed to look professional. That being said, you may want to at least keep a formal navy blue men’s blazer hanging on the back of your office door for those times when the boss throws an unexpected lunch meeting at the club, or the woman from down the hall finally decides to accept your invitation for after-work drinks.

When enjoying a night on the town, you don’t want to be all bundled up like a five year old on his first snow day. A always stylish velvet winter blazer for men provides you with enough warmth to go from the car to indoors without all the bulk. And for those moments when you might have to wait in line, a winter blazer can keep you from freezing for short lengths of time. Of course, if you plan on staying out in the cold longer, you may want to look at something a little warmer.

When you are in a rush to wear something both stylish and casual, it’s always good to have a blazer hanging in your closet. It’s amazing how a simple casual blazer can make even the most grungy t-shirt, sneakers and jeans look smart and stylin’. Great for throwing something on as you rush out of the house, and while they look great, blazers for men are relatively inexpensive.

During the summer months I always try to wear a balanced blend of dressy and casual when I’m out on the town. One of the looks I am quite pleased with is the simple white dress shirt and bluejeans look. Throw on a mens blazer and you’re ready to fit into almost any social situation that calls for a well dressed man. And don’t forget to pick a belt that will tie everything together. It’s one of the few male accessories that often gets over looked.
