One is to buy a computer monitor magnifier that simply hangs over your flat screen monitor, and like a magnifying glass, enlarges what you see on your screen up to 2X the original size. There is also software you can buy that will enable you to magnify what you see on your monitor screen up to 4X the original size. And if you don’t want to pay anything, then Windows operating system also allows for the magnification of text through it’s Handicap section.
