Whether you are using colored glass jars to keep your bulk spices organized, or you are giving away home-made food items like jams, jellies or pickles, there are a couple of things you need to keep in mind. One is that the jars need to feature an air tight seal-able lid to keep the freshness and quality up to par. And two, when buying colored glass jars, make sure that they are not just clear jars with tinted film wrap. If this is the case, the film may peel off and that may be something you don’t want happening.

There seems to be hundreds of types of spice racks. I guess this is because we are still trying to find the perfect solution to an enduring problem: how to store all those little spice bottles and jars. Glass spice jars with metal lids

If you like to cook a lot with various spices, you know how much really good spices can cost. A great way around the expense is to buy your spices in bulk which can easily be found at the larger, popular grocery stores or places like Costco. Then all you need are inexpensive glass spice jars with lids and the included plastic shaker inserts and you’re all set to cook up a storm.
