Adding a colored bedspread or comforter to your bed helps to tie the bedroom’s color scheme together nicely. In order to keep the color of your bedspread looking like new, you should always wash the bedspread by itself and in cold water. Also, use a mild detergent to aid in keeping your colors bright. Some folks even go so far as to add a cup of vinegar which helps in keeping bright or muted tones from fading after many washings. You could also bring your bedspread to a dry-cleaner if all of the above sounds like too much of a hassle.

Turquoise is a color that goes very well with blues and greens, so if you have a bedroom or living room that mostly uses these colors, it may be a good idea to add a touch of turquoise to the mix. This can be done with a small rug, a valance or a throw blanket. The latter can be used as a bedspread or on a sofa.

Turquoise is a beautiful color, but not one that is immediately associated with dining room decor. This may be because it is a color that we associate with the outdoors, since it resembles the color of the ocean. For this reason, you may have a bit of difficulty finding turquoise dining chairs.
