Although a tall tv stand may seem like a good idea, you may want to go with a wall unit instead. If the TV in question is small enough, say thirty-two inches or smaller, then a tall stand may be fine. But if your TV is very large, you may find it looks somewhat top-heavy when atop a tall and narrow stand.

If the top-heavy look doesn’t bother you, then you will have to make sure that your TV’s foot will actually fit on the stand. Not only will it look awkward if the foot sticks out on the sides, but it may also be unsafe.
