Setting up a guest room that is comfortable and stylish is relatively easy with the simple addition of a twin bed and a bureau or two. But if you have been using that extra room for storage or as a home office, you could still keep the room’s functionality intact by setting up a captain’s bed, which is basically a bed with drawers. You can then use the bed storage space for whatever you need it for and still offer a comfortable sleep to friends and/or family.

Of course, there are other ways to store things under a bed. The simplest and cheapest way is to use cardboard boxes. These are not as practical as drawers, though. For one thing, dust easily accumulates under a bed. This means your boxes will get dusty, and if they are not perfectly sealed, some of this dust could get inside them.
